Successful implementation for a sustainable future
Our projects stand for innovative solutions and the successful deployment of state-of-the-art geothermal technologies. With our deep understanding of technology and financing, we deliver sustainable energy projects that set new benchmarks.
Here we present a pioneering reference project that demonstrates how geothermal energy can be used efficiently and in a climate-neutral way. This project was realized by us as part of
Grünwald/Oberhaching geothermal power plant
Deep groundwater from the Malm formation at a depth of approximately 3,700 meters. This pioneering project supplies the region with sustainable, environmentally friendly energy used for both electricity generation and heat supply.
- Energy generation: Electricity and/or heat from deep geothermal energy
- Project duration: 2013 to 2015
- Capacity: 3.8 MW (electrical) / approx. 30 MW (thermal)
- Supply: District heating for 3,500 residential units
- Project volume: approx. EUR 120 million (incl. district heating networks)
The planning, engineering, and parts of the construction were carried out as part of a joint venture led by INTEC GMK, represented by Aldo Piacentini-Timm. This project compellingly demonstrates how deep geothermal energy can enable a sustainable energy future.
