We are currently presenting a groundbreaking reference project that demonstrates how geothermal energy can be used efficiently and climate-neutrally. This project was realized by us as part of a joint venture (ARGE).

Geothermal power plant Grünwald/­Oberhaching

Deep groundwater from the Malm at a depth of approximately 3,700 meters. This pioneering project supplies the region with sustainable and environmentally friendly energy, which is used for both electricity and heat generation.

Energy generation: Electricity and/or heat from deep geothermal energy
Project duration: 2013 to 2015
Capacity: 3.8 MW (electrical energy) / approx. 30 MW (thermal energy)
Supply: 3,500 residential units with district heating
Project volume: approx. 120 million euros (including district heating networks)

The planning, engineering, and parts of the construction were carried out within a joint venture (ARGE) led by INTEC GMK, represented by Aldo Piacentini-Timm. This project impressively demonstrates how deep geothermal energy can enable a sustainable energy future.
